Today, LACNet, the international non-profit association, that results from the alliance between RedCLARA and LACNIC, in collaboration with IDB Lab, within the LACChain global alliance framework, joins La Casa de Internet de Latinoamérica y el Caribe, based in Montevideo, Uruguay.
LACNet is the first blockchain entity to be associated with internet governance. Its presence will favor the creation of collaboration instances between all the institutions that are part of La Casa de Internet. At the same time, it will allow a closer dialogue with entities that have been key in internet governance and its resources in the region.
La Casa de Internet involves a large number of actors. It is the main hub of internet entities in the region, with a strong reputation, created to facilitate synergies, support development, and offer greater and better services to our community.
Here are concentrated the headquarters of organizations linked to the development of telecommunications, internet, information, and communications technologies in the region, including LACNIC and RedCLARA, as well as the Internet Society, LACTLD, ICANN, ASIET, ECOM-LAC, LAC-IX, ALAI, and LAC-ISP.
For LACNet, it is a great pride to join this hub to promote the reduction of the digital gap and continue to facilitate the adoption of blockchain technology for the benefit of society.
In addition, the prestige offered by being part of this group of entities that seek to promote the economic and social development of the region will favor the efficient start of LACNet’s operations and will provide even more certainty to those who seek to deploy their projects on the blockchain networks orchestrated by LACNet.
